Here is the last task for unit 19. I had to create an evaluation through out the whole unit about of any difficulties we might of encountered, acknowledgements of new acquired skills, what would we Chang and what turned out good.
Evaluation Report
Producing work for unit 19 was interesting and I found it quite enjoyable. The reason for this is that I am already acquainted with Digital Graphics and take an interest in designing and creating media forms.
During this unit I have learned new skills and techniques that helped me improve my designing skills and produce work faster. E.g. the images I produce by using Photoshop: the banners, the experimental Images, and the photo reattaching. To fasten the pace and work better, I was shown examples of how to work faster by using the layer mask, the adjustment layer. I also learned how to use the pen tool and how to use Illustrator. This helped me achieve a higher expectation of design which I could not produce by using Photoshop. E.g. the image posted on my blog; Black Ink Heart and the image title using the Pen-tool.
I learned how to blog properly and how to present my work in an appropriate way. I think that the idea of using the blog will come of great use for work experience, to promote my work and my skills; technical and practical, and how to evaluate all the work posted and presented online.
Although everything wasn’t easy as it seems due to the reason that I came across problems with using blogger. I had a problem with the registration account and could not get blogger to work for about a month since it was not letting me sign in. This slowed my work from being posted however I managed to fix it. Another problem was working in groups to produce the “Mediacast” blog since a lot of the group members missed a lot of lectures and a lot of valuable time in which to construct work. As a group we worked well together and produce good ideas.
I feel that some changes might have been appropriate, E.g. groups should have worked more together and problem of blog could have been resolved faster.
